Payments Policy

1) Secure payments via Stripe

All online payments on thegood.co.nz are processed securely by Stripe, a global payments platform. We do not store or have access to your full card number or card security code (CVV); your payment details are handled directly by Stripe using industry-standard security controls.

Stripe is a PCI Service Provider Level 1, the most stringent level of certification in the payments industry, and is independently assessed against PCI DSS requirements.

2) Payment methods

We accept the payment methods that are made available at checkout via Stripe. These may include (depending on your device and settings):

  • Credit/debit cards (e.g., Visa, Mastercard, American Express)

  • Digital wallets such as Apple Pay and Google Pay (where supported on your device/browser)

  • Afterpay

The payment options shown at checkout are the options available for your order at that time.

3) Currency and pricing (New Zealand)

  • Prices are displayed in New Zealand dollars (NZD) unless stated otherwise.

  • If we offer multi-currency pricing, Stripe may allow you to pay in your local currency and will handle any conversion and settlement.

  • Your bank or card issuer may apply additional fees (e.g., international transaction or currency conversion fees). These fees are set by your provider, not by us.

4) When you’re charged

  • Standard orders: Your card (or chosen method) is charged at the time you place your order and the payment is successfully authorised.

  • Pre-orders / backorders (if offered): We’ll clearly disclose how and when you’ll be charged on the product page or at checkout.

5) Payment authentication and fraud prevention

To help protect customers and reduce fraud, Stripe may apply additional verification steps, including 3D Secure (3DS) authentication on some transactions (for example, a bank prompt to confirm the payment).

If Stripe or our systems detect a potentially suspicious transaction, the payment may be declined or the order may be placed on hold for review.
